Forsythia has been in the works for awhile; since last spring 2020 actually. It is a collection of poems from 2018 up until about a month ago. I had wanted to release something last year, but I ended up focusing on blazing a new path for myself.

Forsythia is meant to convey remembrance, pushing forward, and to show my affection to the ever changing seasons and the pain of loving and also happens to be a window into struggling with human relationships, being a hedge walking spirit, the complications of being a severely passionate and multifaceted critter. I mean, ultimately, I wanted to release a bit of myself.

As other creators might know, when creating, sometimes you don’t know when to stop and when you DO stop, and release it to the public; you want to change everything about the creation! or at least make edits. I’m fighting that feeling right this minute.

With each copy of Forsythia, I will include a small hand drawn original of a flower friend, and small vial of either Veil Worker or Let Go…these are scents that I feel go along quite nicely with this collection of poems, and likely, I will be throwing in some special flower seeds as well.
